Knot Studios is a game startup founded in 2020, with the goal of uniting developers who share the ambition to create innovative games that bring environmental awareness to players in Brazil and around the world.

Director & Founder
Tomaz Martinelli
Lawyer who has worked with game developers and innovation hubs in several countries over the past few years. Passionate about projects with a socio-environmental impact, he currently runs Knot Studios on a day-to-day basis. Tom has experience in the gaming industry in the areas of public fundraising, contracts and intellectual property.

Pedro Correa
Agroforest farmer, product manager, and business developer at Knot Studios. He is changing the world with Tree Tales! Graduated in International Relationships, managing games for 6 years and farming for 30.
Art Director & Founder
Hugo Rabello
Has a degree in digital games from the IBMR college, has 5 years of experience with digital art. He is currently at knotstudios as generalist illustrator and art director
Game Scriptwriter
Renata Richard
Renata Richard is a researcher and project developer in creative media and audiovisual production. She is a Master’s student in Creative Media (PPGMC/ECO/UFRJ) and holds a postgraduate degree in Children’s and Young Adult Literature. With experience as a screenwriter, art director, and content consultant, she has worked on productions for Rede Globo and on series such as Detetives do Prédio Azul and Diário de Pilar. She is the co-author of the graphic novel Djou, de outro mundo! and co-founder of Sarjana Digital, where she serves as creative director and screenwriter.

Milena Silva
Journalism student at the Universidade do Rio de Janeiro, with experience in editing, academic event organization, and podcast production, as well as participation in extension projects and student representation.
